Equal Time ...

Granted, the Fairness Doctrine was put out of business during the Reagan Era, but we figured the least we could do was give the new guy a little extra exposure. This is from a couple months ago ... if you're curious about how he looks now ... it's pretty much the same, only bigger:

Jake vs. the Parrot

This picture was taken as Jake was regarding a parrot -- a talking parrot, actually -- at the Texas State Aquarium. (What the bird was doing in the aquarium is anyone's guess ... although swimming for its life would be a good one.)

We totally "Punk'd" Jake

Saturday, a full week after Easter, no less, we faked Jake into thinking it was Easter! He totally bought the whole thing, too, hook ... line and sinker.

You should've seen his face when we told him and took the eggs away. He cried and cried and cried.

(Just kidding, of course. We'd celebrated a belated Easter at the coast. He enjoyed the egg gathering very much, too, by the way.)

Two unrelated photos

Jake sleepy ...

Jake upside-down. Not sure if that's laughter or abject terror. Or does it really matter at this age?

Couple food-related photos

Neither really calls for much commentary.

From the moonwalk

Jake pauses inside the moonwalk contraption at a friend's birthday party. Then it was back to "mumpin'"

Checkin' out the dolphins

We spent the weekend at the coast, and took a trip over to Corpus Christi to take in the Texas State Aquarium there.

They have an underwater room where you can watch the dolphins swim. Jake enjoyed the training show quite a lot -- particularly the "splashing the water" part -- but he was into the underwater room quite a bit more.
